Almost gone

We are getting ready to say goodbye to the 1950's green awnings! While the green fiberglass (personalized with the initials of the previous owner), were nice...it just was not our style. Over the weekend, Amy, Dick and Nancy helped us to remove the awnings.

With brute strength, an electric drill, saws-all and pry-bars, the front two awnings finally came off.

We think it looks pretty good. Almost like a real house! : ) We have two awnings still left to be removed. These are on the second floor, and we might need to find some taller friends!

Looks like a nice little garden to rest in...I must tell my friends.

Well, dear niece and nephew-in-law, you have certainly inherited the Komrosky discerning housing taste. The house is delightful. The potential is endless. In the dictionary, the word "charming" has a picture of your first home. Congratulations and best wishes. Love, Aunt Sue and Uncle Gary in wet but wonderful Oregon
