Master Bedroom Is "finished"

When we moved in last April, the master bedroom was pretty rough. With 4 layers of flowered wall paper (see the Flickr collection of Ode to Dated Wallpaper) and several strange small closets, the bedroom felt cramped. The 1970's wicker lamps and wobbly ceiling fan didn't add to the bedroom feel either.

We scrapped wall paper, primed and painted the room a lovely green color. This past week, the floors were sanded. We installed a new light fixture and white wooden blinds. The room has never looked better!
With only the closet organizer and closet doors to go, we couldn't wait to post pictures of our progress. This past week, we saw the second floor really come together.

The Kitchen Is Finished!

The $300 Kitchen Renovation is finally finished. We found a $5 gallon of "oops" paint from HD and are pretty happy with our results. The floor is a greenish-grey-blue color (the paint in the picture looks darker). The floor is now much friendlier to bare feet. We are anxious for the arrival for the warmer summer months!

Looking at the before and after pictures is pretty shocking! You can see more pictures at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/joshifer/sets/72157604166877991/. Enjoy!

The $300 Kitchen Renovation

To see the Eddy Street Kitchen in April 2007 was like stepping into a time machine. Visitors often looked at the faux brick, pink tile backsplash and 1960's tile floor with envy and great interest.

We have been busy the last few weeks and proudly share with you the fruits of our labor...Enjoy the $300 Kitchen Renovation.

The walls were painted a creamy yellow, and the cabs bright while. We also installed new drawer pulls and wooden blinds. You can see more pictures here.
